About: I’m an ceramicist, fiber artist and psychotherapist, based in Barre and Montpelier. In Barre, I run a clay studio out of Studio Place Arts with ceramics artist Georgia Landau, where we each make work and teach. About: I’m a local mama and clinical herbalist. I currently offer distance herbal consultations via the phone or online (as well as locally). About: Amy has two main focuses with her work. Supporting, nurturing and empowering women and their partners during the journey of pregnancy, birth and motherhood. She’s also a Movement Re-educator who helps people relieve stress, tension and pain while they learn about their body and breath through gentle movement practices. She works in private, semi-private and group class settings, offers workshops and retreats. Amy has two boys, 10 and 12. It was when they were babes that she started down this path of yoga, therapeutics and functional movement. Emerge was created when Amy was a hospice volunteer while beginning her yoga teaching. While she was drawn to yoga as a place to experience some peace and calm from raising two little ones – she quickly was drawn to working with women during pregnancy, birth and motherhood – feeling strongly that this is a crucial time for women to receive support.
