Due date: April 1, 2011
Length: Approximately 500 words
Email it to: editor@mamasaysvermont.org
The next issue of Mama Says will be dedicated to poetry in honor of National Poetry Month (April). We want your submissions! Send us your masterpieces or the ditty you just jotted down...we want your voice! Send submissions to editor@mamasaysvermont.org. Poems that are very long will need to be excerpted so please limit length.
We will be following up this zine with a Mom's poetry slam event. For those of you who have never attended a poetry slam, it is a FUN mixture of reading and competition. Anyone who has an original poem to share is welcome. The Mom's (Dads too!) slam will be around Mother's Day and we hope to see (and hear) you there! Check the poetry issue of Mama Says for more details and our website as it gets closer.
Let's celebrate Poetry Month and the wonderful poetry of the parents in our community!
